Removal

   

• When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.

1.Remove the roof trim assembly.(Refer to Roof Trim - "Roof Trim Assembly")

2.Remove the sunroof motor (B) by removing the screws after disconnecting the sunroof motor connector (A).

Installation

1.Install in reverse order of removal.

   

• Perform the sunroof initialization.(Refer to Sunroof Motor - "Adjustment")

• Inspect the operation of the moving glass and roll blind.

Adjustment

Initialize Sunroof

When the initial value is erased, the glass or roller blinds do not move automatically when the switch is operated with one touch, but only manually. In this case, reset the sunroof as follows.

   

In the following cases, the initial value of the sunroof motor has been erased. Perform initialization.

• When the power of the battery connected to the sunroof motor is cut off due to battery replacement, discharge, or fuse replacement

• When the one-touch function AUTO open and AUTO close do not work normally.

• During the AUTO closing operation, if the glass opens without object stuck in the sunroof (safety specification).

1.After IG ON, close the glass and the roller blind completely by using the glass close switch.

2.When the glass and roller blind are completely closed, release your hand from the glass close switch, then press the close switch again until the glass and blind move slightly (about 10 seconds).

3.If you release your hand from the glass close switch and press it again, the sunroof initialization is completed as the glass and blinds are opened and closed in the following order.The blind opens in the sliding position → After the sunroof glass is tilted, it opens and then closes in the sliding position → The blind closes in the sliding position

   

During the above operation, if the glass close button is released and the operation is stopped, the initialization is not completed and must return to step 1.
