Removal
• When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
• When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
• To remove the wide sunroof assembly, use the tools shown in the following figure.[Tool Diagram]

1.Close the moving glass completely by pressing the wide sunroof switch.
2.Remove the roof side molding.(Refer to Body Side Molding - "Roof Side Molding")
3.Remove the roof trim.(Refer to Roof Trim - "Roof Trim Assembly")
4.Remove the roof antenna.(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Antenna")
5.Remove the front glass.(Refer to Wide Sunroof - "Front Glass")
6.Remove the wide sunroof side bracket bolts (A).
7.Remove the wide sunroof nuts (A).[Front]
8.Cut off the sealant of forward edge area (A) by pulling the wire (B) to the left and right.
• Wear gloves to prevent hand injuries.
• Be careful not to burn hands as the excessive heat may be generated while using the wire.
• Be careful as the wire may break when working.
• When removing with a remover, wrap a protective tape around the tool to prevent the components from damage.
• Be careful not to damage the body surface.
9.Cut off the sealant on the front sealant area (A-A) while pulling the wire (B) to the left and right.
• Wear gloves to prevent hand injuries.
• Be careful not to burn hands as the excessive heat may be generated while using the wire.
• Be careful as the wire may break when working.
• When removing with a remover, wrap a protective tape around the tool to prevent the components from damage.
• Be careful not to damage the body surface.
10.Cut off the sealant on the side area (A-A), while pulling the wire (B) to the left and right.
• Wear gloves to prevent hand injuries.
• Be careful not to burn hands as the excessive heat may be generated while using the wire.
• Be careful as the wire may break when working.
• When removing with a remover, wrap a protective tape around the tool to prevent the components from damage.
• Be careful not to damage the body surface.
11.Cut off the sealant on the rear sealant area (A-A), while pulling the wire (B) to the left and right.
• Wear gloves to prevent hand injuries.
• Be careful not to burn hands as the excessive heat may be generated while using the wire.
• Be careful as the wire may break when working.
• When removing with a remover, wrap a protective tape around the tool to prevent the components from damage.
• Be careful not to damage the body surface.
12.Remove the wide sunroof assembly (A) after cutting the sealant on all sides.
13.Cut off the remaining sealant (A) around the body panel by using the knife blade.
• Be careful not to damage the body painting surface.
• If the body painting surface is damaged, apply the repair paint or anti-corrosion agent.
Installation

Primer
Primer application brush
1.Clean the edges of the body panel and wide frame by using alcohol with a clean cloth and blowing them with an air gun.
2.Apply the primer around the body panel and wide frame by using a primer brush.
3.After applying the primer, apply the sealant (A) around the body panel by using a sealant gun.
4.Align the guide pin (A) on the sunroof frame to the centering device hole of the body and carefully install the wide sunroof on the body flange surface.
5.Install the wide sunroof and check the flush and gaps on each side.

6.Tighten the wide sunroof side bracket bolts (A).
Tightening torque :7.8 - 11.8 N·m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf·m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb·ft)
7.Tighten the wide sunroof mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque :7.8 - 11.8 N·m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf·m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb·ft)

8.Perform a water leak test.
9.When a leak occurs, apply the additional sealant to the leaking area.
• Leave the car on a level ground for at least 4 hours after installing the wide sunroof.
• If the vehicle needs to be used, drive slowly at least for 8 hours.
• The driver should be careful to drive the vehicle aggressively or avoid uneven road driving for 2-3 days.
10.Install the front glass.(Refer to Wide Sunroof - "Front Glass")
11.Install the roof trim assembly.(Refer to Roof Trim - "Roof Trim Assembly")
12.Install the roof side molding.(Refer to Body Side Molding - "Roof Side Molding")
