Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• The Electric Vehicle comes equipped with a high voltage battery that can cause serious injury, like electric shocks, or even death when malfunctioning or mishandled, so follow the manual below.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be approved by International Standards (IEC 60900, ASTM F1505 and VDE). Check if PPE is guaranteed for insulation from AC 1000 V and DC 1500 V.
Name | Illustration | Description |
Insulated gloves |
Used when inspecting or working on the high voltage components. [Insulation performance : 1000 V / 300 A or above] |
Insulated shoes |
Used when inspecting or working on the high voltage components. |
Insulated clothes |
Insulated safety helmet |
Safety glasses |
Wear PPE in the cases below • When removing or inspecting the high voltage battery terminals or wiring that may cause sparks. • When Working on Battery System Assembly (BSA) |
Face shield |
Insulated mat |
To prevent electric shocks caused by the removed high voltage components, keep them organized on an insulated mat. |
Insulated sheet |
Cover the high voltage components with the Insulated sheet to prevent safety accidents for those not wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). |
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Inspection
• Check if Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is not damaged or torn.
• After completely removing the moisture from the insulated gloves, check them as shown below before wearing them.
