Removal

• When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.

1.Remove the front door trim.(Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Trim")

2.Remove the front door quadrant inner cover (A).

3.Disconnect the front door tweeter speaker connector (A).

4.Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A).

5.Remove the outside rear view mirror assembly (A) in the direction of the arrow after removing the nuts and screw.

Tightening torque :6.9 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb·ft, 60.8 - 95.5 lb·in)

Installation

• When disassembling the outside rear view mirror, use of special tools can improve workability and safety of damage to parts.

• If it is possible to work with parts (scalp, etc.) assembled in the vehicle, proceed with the work on the vehicle.

• How to use the special tool is as follows.

Outside View Mirror Assembly Fixing Stand (0K876 - C5100)

1)Mount the special tool bolt (B) to the outside rear view mirror assembly (A) and tighten the bolt fixing nut (C) to fix it so that it does not move.

2)Turn the handle (B) to set the outside rear view mirror assembly (A) to a position where it is easy to work.

Outside Rear View Mirror Glass Remover Tool (0K876 - L2100)

1)After inserting the special tools as shown in the illustration below, remove the mirror (A) by applying slight force.

Mirror

1.After inserting the special tools as shown in the illustration below, remove the mirror (A) by applying slight force.

2.Disconnect the rear corner radar indicator connector (A) and mirror heater connectors (B).

Housing Cover

1.Remove the mirror.

2.Remove the housing cover.

(1)Remove the housing cover screws (B).

(2)After inserting the remover in space between housing and mirror, remove the housing cover (A) by applying light/quick pressure to disassemble.

Scalp

1.Remove the housing cover.

2.Remove the scalp (A).

Reassembly

1.Install in the reverse order of removal.

• Check the clip and hook on the back of the scalp are not damaged after removing it.

• If clips and hooks of the scalp are damaged, replace the scalp with a new one as noise may occur while driving.

• Apply enough pressure to tighten all hooks to engage when assembling the scalp.

• Check the each function of the outside rear view mirror.
