Precautions when working

1.R-1234yf refrigerant is highly volatile, so even a single drop of refrigerant may cause frostbite. If it comes in contact, wash with lukewarm water. Gloves must be worn when handling refrigerant.

2.Safety glasses must be worn to protect eyes. If refrigerant splashes into the eyes, immediately wash it off with clean running water for at least 15 minutes.

3.The air conditioning system is injected with R-1234yf, which does not destroy the ozone layer. The use of unspecified refrigerants and compressor oils may cause serious damage to the air conditioning system.

4.Inappropriate maintenance can cause injury to the human body, so it should be performed only by skilled related certificates holders.

5.Since the R-1234yf container is high pressure, it must never be placed in a hot place. Check if the storage area is below 52°C.

6.Prepare a gas leak detector to check the refrigerant leak. If the R-1234yf refrigerant comes in contact with the flame from the detector, toxic gas is generated, so be careful.

7.Moisture adversely affects the air conditioner, so work should be avoided on a rainy day.

8.Be sure to cover the protective cover to avoid damage such as scratches on the body of the vehicle.

9.Since R-1234yf refrigerant and R-134a refrigerant are not mixed with each other, they should never be mixed even in very small amounts. If these refrigerants are mixed, a pressure loss is possible.

10.R-1234yf recovery/recycling/charging equipment is used to recover and charge the refrigerant. At this time, never release the refrigerant to the atmosphere.

Precautions when replacing parts

1.When refrigerating oil containing moisture is mixed into a system such as a gear, it can shorten the life of the compressor and deteriorate the performance of the air conditioner.

2.Check the presence and damage of O-rings in the connection part. Refrigerant leaks in case of missing or broken O-rings.

3.Be sure to apply refrigeration oil to the O-ring area before work.

4.Bolts or nuts should be tightened with the specified torque.

5.Make sure the hose is not twisted.

6.Remove protective caps on hoses and parts just before work.

7.Tighten the nut and bolt while pushing one side of the pipe.

8.When disconnecting a refrigerant line, immediately put on a plug or cap to protect the system from moisture and dust.
