Special Service Tool

Removal

1.Remove the front wheel and tires.(Refer to Suspension System - "Wheel")

2.Disconnect the front brake hose (A) after removing the bolt.

Tightening torque :24.5 - 29.4 N·m (2.5 - 3.0 kgf·m, 18.1 - 21.7 lb·ft)

3.Open the front brake caliper body (A) upwards after removing the bolt.

Tightening torque :21.6 - 31.4 N·m (2.2 - 3.2 kgf·m, 15.9 - 23.1 lb·ft)

4.Remove the brake pads (A).

5.Remove the brake pad slider shims (A).

6.Remove the front caliper assembly (A) after removing the bolts and washers.

Tightening torque :98.1 - 117.7 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb·ft)

Installation

1.Install in the reverse order of removal.

• Be careful not to damage the piston when pressing it.

• Be careful not to touch the piston when installing the caliper body to the torque member.

• Press the brake piston using SST (09581 - 11000) when installing the caliper body.

2.Fill the brake reservoir with brake fluid and perform air bleeding.(Refer to Brake System - "Brake Bleeding Procedures")

3.Check the brake fluid leakage and pedal operating condition.

4.Depress the brake pedal several times to ensure that the brake pads are correctly positioned, then check operation.
