Removal
• When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
• When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.
• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.
1.Remove the front seat back assembly from the front seat back frame.(Refer to Body - "Front Seat Back Cover")
2.Remove the lumbar support (B) after separating the clips (A).
3.Disconnect the lumbar support connector (A).

On Vehicle Inspection
Diagnosis with KDS
1.In the body electrical system, failed part can be quickly diagnosed by using the vehicle diagnostic system (KDS). (Refer to "DTC guide)
(1)Self diagnosis : Inspection and display failed code (DTC)
(2)Sensor data : Checking the system input/output data state
(3)Forced operation : Checking the system operation condition
(4)Additional function : Controlling other features including system option setting and zero point adjustment
2.If diagnosing vehicle using KDS, select "car model" and "power seat module".
3.To view current input/output data, select the 'Current Data' menu.Input/output data stream available for the selected module.
Basic Inspection
1.Perform basic inspection as shown below
(1)Check battery terminals and state of charge.
(2)Check fuses and relays.
(3)Check the connection status of the connector.
(4)Check wiring and connectors for damage.
If unable to diagnose using KDS, perform basic inspection.
