Removal

• When working on the high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on the high voltage system or related components, be sure to observe and be aware of the "Safety Precautions, Cautions and Warnings". If not, it may cause serious accidents due to electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedure.

Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU)

1.Remove the IBU.(Refer to Body Electrical System - "Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU)")

Front Door Outside Handle

1.Remove the front door outside handle.(Refer to Body - "Front Door Outside Handle")

Power Tailgate Outside Handle Switch

1.Remove the power tailgate outside handle switch.(Refer to Body - Power Tailgate Switch)

Buzzer

1.Remove the front bumper assembly.(Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Assembly")

2.Remove the buzzer (A) after disconnecting the buzzer connector (B).

Installation

1.Install in the reverse order of removal.

Integrated Body Control Unit (IBU)

1.Inspect the IBU with the KDS.(Refer to Smart Key System - "On Vehicle Inspection")

Front Door Outside Handle

1.Remove the front door outside handle.(Refer to Body - "Front Door Outside Handle")

2.Disconnect the front door outside handle connector and then check for continuity between terminals No 3 and No 7.

Tailgate Outside Handle Switch

1.Disconnect the battery negative ( - ) terminal and the service interlock connector.(Refer to Battery Control System - "Auxiliary 12 V Battery - 2WD")(Refer to Battery Control System - "Auxiliary 12 V Battery - 4WD")

2.Remove the tailgate lid trim.(Refer to Body - " Tailgate Lid Trim")

3.Check for continuity between the terminals.

Buzzer

1.Remove the front bumper assembly.(Refer to Body - "Front Bumper Assembly")

2.Disconnect the connector (B) from buzzer (A).

3.Check for continuity between the terminals.
