Kia EV6: Rear View Monitor (RVM)

Rear View While Driving (RVWD)

RVWD function is used to switch on rear view while driving forward.

RVWD ON

• Press button (A) when in drive (D) or neutral (N) shift position.

RVWD OFF

• Press button (A) again.

• Verify the vehicle has a genuine Kia camera installed because the monitor output quality could be poor or have functioning problem due to aftermarket camera installed.

• Warranty is voided if camera lens is cleaned with none approved Kia cleaners.

• Must use water or clean cloth to clean the exterior of camera lens.

• Verify if the same condition is still present after cleaning the camera lens and removing debris.

• The cleaners with high concentration of acidic cleaners can cause the lens coating to come off, careful inspection is necessary.

• Road debris such as pebbles can cause the camera lens to crack, careful inspection is necessary.

Removal

• When working on high voltage system, the work should be carried by technicians who have completed the relevant training. A lack of understanding of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or electric leakage.

• When working a high voltage system, the technician must be observed and aware of "High Voltage System General Safety Information and Caution". If not, it may cause serious accidents such as electric shock or short circuit.

• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedures.

1.Disconnect the battery negative ( - ) terminal and the service interlock connector.(Refer to Battery Control System - "Auxiliary 12 V Battery - 2WD")(Refer to Battery Control System - "Auxiliary 12 V Battery - 4WD")

2.Remove the power tailgate outside handle switch.(Refer to Body - Power Tailgate Switch)

3.Remove the rear view camera.

(1)Disconnect the power tailgate outside handle switch connector (B).

(2)Remove the rear view camera (A) after removing the screws.

Installation
