Removal
• When working on high voltage system, the work should be performed by technicians who have completed the relevant training. It is because that lack of knowledge of the high voltage system can lead to serious accidents due to electric shock or electric leakage.
• When working a high voltage system, the technician must be recognized and observe "General Safety Information and Caution". If do not follow, serious accidents like electric shock and short circuit are caused.
• When working on high voltage system, make sure to check the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and high voltage shut-off procedures.
• Use a fender cover to protect the painted surface.
• Be careful not to damage the connector when disconnecting.
• Follow the instructions below when releasing the quick connector.- Remove the while pressing the quick connector clamp (A) in the direction of the arrow.- Do not touch the rubber seal (B) inside the hose.
1.Shut off the high voltage circuit.(Refer to Cooling System - "High Voltage Shut-off Procedures")
2.Remove the front under cover.(Refer to Motor and Reduction Gear System - "Front Under Cover")
3.Drain the battery system coolant.(Refer to Cooling System - "Battery Coolant")
4.Remove the front trunk.(Refer to Body - "Front Trunk")
5.Disconnect the battery heater connector (A).
6.Disconnect the battery heater cooling hose (A) after releasing the quick connector.
7.Disconnect the ground cable (A) from the body after removing the bolt.
Tightening torque :6.9 - 9.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf·m, 5.1 - 7.2 lb·ft)
8.Disconnect the battery heater cooling hose (A) after releasing the quick connector.
9.Disconnect the battery heater power cable (A).
10.Separate the power cable (A) from the electric water pump (EWP) after releasing the clip.
11.Remove the battery heater (A) after removing the bolt
Tightening torque :6.9 - 9.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.0 kgf·m, 5.1 - 7.2 lb·ft)
Installation
1.Install in the reverse order of removal.
2.Fill the battery system coolant.(Refer to Cooling System - "Battery Coolant")
